Tristarc Stakes 2012 – Nominations Announced

October 15th, 2012

Nominations have been released for the 2012 Tristarc Stakes, which are due to take place at Caulfield Racecourse this Saturday October 20, 2012.

A total of 22 mares have been nominated for the 2012 Tristarc Stakes, including Mosheen.

Mosheen wasn’t herself when defeated in her first two spring starts this preparation, however, proved herself when winning the Group 2 Blazer Stakes at Flemington Racecourse last start by almost one and a half lengths.

The Fastnet Rock mare has won eight og her 17 race starts and has earned more than $2.77 million in prize money.

Mosheen was due to run in the $3 million Cox Plate this spring, but will now contest the Group 1 Myer Classic due to her delayed return to top form this campaign.

Also included in the 2012 Tristarc Stakes nominations is Streama.

Streama has won six of her 15 race starts and has earned more than $1.14 million in prize money during her horse racing career.

The Stratum mare placed third in the Listed Sheraco Stakes at Rosehill Gardens first-up this spring, before running sixth in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes on October 6, 2012.

Streama will be looking to return to winning form when she takes her place in the 2012 Tristarc Stakes this weekend.

Red Tracer, King’s Rose and Miss Stellabelle are also included in the 2012 Tristarc Stakes nominations.
