Tristarc Stakes – History & Betting

First run in 1987, the Tristarc Stakes is a relatively new addition to the Australian horseracing calendar. It was originally won by Canny Lass and was a Listed race, moving up to Group Three status in 1994 and then Group Two in 2005.

When it comes to betting on the Tristarc Stakes it often pays to watch the Blazer Stakes held the fortnight beforehand. With the same conditions, many mares will run in the Blazer Stakes before backing up in the Tristarc, so punters should definitely keep an eye on that. Another good tip is to check out previous winners of the Tristarc Stakes, so you can get a feel for the type of runners which succeed under the conditions. We have listed previous winners and their times below, so familiarise yourself with them and see if there are any similarities between them and this year’s runners.

Once you have selected which mare you think will win the Tristarc Stakes, there is no better place to wager than online.
