Tristarc Stakes – History & Betting
First run in 1987, the Tristarc Stakes is a relatively new addition to the Australian horse racing calendar. It was originally won by Canny Lass and was a Listed race, moving up to Group Three status in 1994 and then Group Two in 2005.
When it comes to betting on the Tristarc Stakes it often pays to watch the Blazer Stakes held the fortnight beforehand. With the same conditions, many mares will run in the Blazer Stakes before backing up in the Tristarc, so punters should definitely keep an eye on that.
